Smt. Minal Dilpesh Jain

Director

I am Minal Dilpesh Jain, born in a Jain family, brought up and living in Bhayandar, thane district of Maharashtra. My father is a businessman and mother is a successful house wife. My father is not only a very successful businessman but also a great human being. He always cared for his people. He would always try to help young people coming from our village to Mumbai in search of employment. This quality of my father had a deep impact in my mind and encouraged me right from childhood to try to serve people in every possible manner. After completing my higher secondary education, I got married in a decent Jain family to Dilpesh Sohanlal Jain. I have a daughter who is presently studying in pre-primary. I am a firm believer that women should be self-sufficient and they must work towards creating their own identity. Keeping this idea in mind I decided to build my professional career. I started exploring business opportunities in the e-commerce segment and started my own business in e-commerce. I have been able to successfully run my business for more than 6 years now.

While performing my household duties and managing my business somewhere I always felt a strong desire to do something for the needy section of society. This is where my husband’s association with various social groups helped me. I always liked and appreciated the noble work carried out by them. I got motivated to do something for the society and got associated with Stambh Foundation, a social organization that is operating in Mira – Bhayandar area of thane district and working for Old Age Citizens, Tribals, orphan children, and Medical facilities for poor. With the help of Stambh Foundation I have been able to contribute a lot for the poverty stricken people. Visiting old age houses, tribal areas and organizing medical camps has become a regular and integral part of my life.

Working for under privileged has always given me great satisfaction; but at the same time, any news of tortures on women would deeply sadden me. I felt a great need for working for upliftment and empowerment of women. Although there are many organizations working for this cause, with some of them doing very good work, I felt collective and concentrated efforts are required on this sensitive issue. I have known Smt. Geeta Bharat Jain (Present Member of Legislative Assembly, Mira- Bhayandar and Ex Mayor of Mira Bhayandar) for many years and was always impressed with her leadership qualities and her nature of caring for people. On many occasions Smt. Geetaji used to share her vision for empowerment of women. When she shared the idea about Nari Sashaktikarn Foundation with me, I got encouraged to join the foundation and contribute in the best possible way I can towards this cause. I am thankful to Smt. Geetaji Jain for giving me this opportunity to join Nari Sashaktikaran Foundation as one of the founding members. I am confident that along with other members of the Foundation I will be able to do satisfying work towards empowerment of women.
