Smt.Riya Rajkiran Mhatre
Myself, Riya Rajkiran Mhatre greeting to the National President of the Women’s Empowerment Foundation, Board of Governors, all the members, and associates.
I was born on 7th September 1983 in a conservative Agri Family in Goddev Village of Mira Bhayander, District Thane, Maharashtra. My father Mr. Chintaman Damodar Patil is a leader supporting the Shiv Sena Party for a log time. My mother, Mrs. Kusum Chintaman Patil is a housewife. My parents have been my support system all the time in every field. We altogether four siblings, three sisters and a younger brother.
I completed my HSC education from Abhinav Vidya Mandir and graduation (B.Com) from Shankar Narayan College in 2003. I always wanted to be an independent woman. Being a supporting role in society has been my ultimatum always. After completing my graduation, I have been teaching in school and also took group tuitions at home.
In 2006, I got married to Mr. Rajkiran Mhatre in a good supportive family in Mira Bhayander. I have two kids, an elder daughter, and a younger son.
In 2017 I joined the BJP party. I had been elected as a candidate for Ward No.16 election from Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation. Even being raced for the first time, after a lot of efforts I seek 4554 votes but unfortunately lost the election. I never gave up, with great shiny hope, I started working for the future. I remained active in doing social work in the slum area. Started working for women making them available free courses like Mehendi, Rangoli, Glass Painting, Beauty Parlour, etc. Also helped needy women in my ward by forming Mahila Bachat Gat to provide them with maximum facility and loan subsidy. I always worked for women’s empowerment. Being a strong independent woman, I truly want other needy women to be strong and independent too!
I joined Citizen Vigilance Committee (CVC) as a Thane Jila Mahila president (www.cvcindia.org ) and Sahkar Bharati as Mahila president MBMC area (www.sbmbmc.org ) an organization working for the co-operative movement in India since 1978.
I’m grateful that I have been given a wonderful opportunity to work for the society with the Nari Sashaktikaran Foundation as a director. So, I request all the women present here to please come a step ahead and join and support the Nari Sashaktikaran Foundation (Women’s Empowerment) and let’s take this foundation ahead.
“A capable woman will surely take our society ahead.”
Riya Rajkiran Mhatre.
